Mark "the Dutchman" VanderHaar joined the Wilmington Blue Rocks as Director of Community Relations in April of 2006. Mark worked for three seasons with the Southern League's West Tenn Diamond Jaxx (then the Double-A Cubs) in Jackson, TN. Mark was the Manager of Sales and Promotions during the 2005 season with the Diamond Jaxx. In late March of 2006, a violent Tennessee tornado picked up Mark, his wife Corine, and their dog Charlie Bucket and safely deposited them in New Castle County. They currently reside in Newark, Delaware and are happy to live in Blue Rocks Country. Though he spent some time in the South, Mark is a local who grew up in nearby Chester County, PA (Oxford - Go Hornets). On December 18th, 2007, Mark and Corine welcomed their daughter, Olivia, into the world. Life is good. |
